NOTE FROM ARTIST ::: "Scorpio is the archetype of transformation and has 3 symbols because 3 is the sacred number of process and transmutation. The unconscious residue from other lifetimes is symbolized by the scorpion. Once we begin to recognize our Shadow and can name it, the symbol shifts into the snake as she transmutes poison into wisdom. The snake sheds her old skin, and emerges transformed in her wisdom. Here she shape shifts into the symbol of the eagle/or phoenix that rises from the ashes of the death, and flies high with a wider view and a more expanded consciousness embodied by the eagle.

With this piece TRANSFORM, 2015, I created the first iconography known of Scorpio embodying the 3 stages of transformation. It was featured in TASCHEN'S ASTROLOGY BOOK which is an anthology of the history of Astrological Art through the Ages."
